Thorpe Park (Day Visits) | | We did not use the workshops. Park was extremely busy on arrival - perhaps they should stagger the entry and start a little earlier for schools at 9am rather than 10, allowing easier access to some rides. Parking and support from coach to entrance good, just busy and 20 min plus to wait to gain entry. Communication with park pre-visit was sporadic although Alice was great in school trips dept - told this was due to backlog of trips due to pandemic. | 18 July 2022 |

Caldecotte Xperience | | All students were well cared for. All instructors were approachable and engaging. The centre very quickly responded to an problem with our activity schedule and no activity time was lost. I will definitely be looking to return to Caldecotte again next academic year. | 18 July 2022 |

Burwell House | | The Educational Visit to Burwell House was a success. Children all enjoyed themselves and were very well behaved. Activities were led by the venue and supported by school staff. Safety was paramount and children were aware of rules, which they stuck to. Children were able to enjoy independence at the enclosed site. Activities were long enough but pace was fast. Geographical experience in map reading, orientation, team building, science classification (pond dipping) were all experienced. A wonderful, positive, educational, enjoyable trip which was not too far to travel. Great operation – would highly recommend with any age, and for residentials in the future (though they book about 18 months in advance). | 17 July 2022 |

Thornbridge Outdoors | | For our children the biggest area for learning at Thornbridge is around PSHE. Children learn so much in the way of independence & social skills, with a situation that cannot be replicated at school. | 17 July 2022 |
Hertfordshire Zoo | | | 17 July 2022 |
Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life | | Another successful visit that resulted in some wonderful written work back in the classroom - the children have ingrained memories now of life in Great Yarmouth through the comparison of the 1860s to 1960s. They particularly enjoyed the victorian lady who was very confused! | 17 July 2022 |

Hertfordshire Scouts - Phasels Wood Activity Centre | | I have visited with a school before and have always been really impressed. This time, I do not believe the instructors were as knowledgeable or explained the activities as well as have been in the past. I believe this was due to lack of experience. | 17 July 2022 |

Kennexstone Farm | | A very safe campsite, far enough from the beach to avoid worries of students slipping off for an authorised swim. Showers and toilet facilities are excellent and kept immaculately clean. This year there was no shop as they had just built a new part of the site which should be ready for next year's trip. | 16 July 2022 |

Château de la Baudonnière | | I would not recommend the venue: staff and students were disappointed by the level of comfort: e.g the age of the bedding, the standard of the food and the level at which the activities were pitched. I was disappointed to see that our students, although they are not keen to speak for fear of making mistakes, were given a workbook on a level which I had judged from the website as too easy for our pupils. My wish to have 2 different levels of challenge was not accommodated and this led to a degree of disengagement from our pupils. The way in which some activities were run- not the activities themselves- (e.g: bread making) was more suitable for primary school pupils. The same presentation made over breakfast of vocabulary was again more suited to primary school children. It was at times frustrating to feel that our teacher colleagues could not play a role in leading some activities as we would have been able to stretch the learners more than the staff were ready to do.

Voyager School Travel | | I was disappointed this time because of a lack of clarity in communication between too many staff involved and because I was frustrated to have to argue for a visit to take place which had not yet been included in previous years. Yet when done, it was well received. | 16 July 2022 |

Voyager School Travel | | I used this agency for the Paris Feb 2022 trip and they were excellent. But for this one, there were too many people involved and yet not enough clarity of communication. | 16 July 2022 |
PGL Boreatton Park | | Learning outdoors is a fantastic way to engage young children, most of the pupils in our school never get to experience anything like this and the whole experience has an impact on them - having to work as a team, meeting and working with new people, thinking independently and having to make decisions for themselves. All of these prove quite a challenge at times - but the pupils get there and feel a sense of pride and achievement in themselves. | 16 July 2022 |
