The Changing Materials workshop was very hands on and the girls liked the exciting results of the various experiments. They completed these in a proper lab set up and had to wear goggles and gloves etc which added to the excitement. It built on all their science learning in KS2. The LegoWEDO coding workshop complemented our Computing curriculum and once again gave the girls a hands on active session. They were given hints but challenged to develop their own designs and codes to complete the task of making a model vehicle that moved. The galleries were interactive and the science garden gave opportunities to test forces in a fun way. (October 2023 - Primary School)

A fantastic Museum - very interactive. Really good workshops pitched at the correct level for the ages & ability of the pupils attending. (December 2021 - Secondary School)

We had a fantastic trip - the museum is very interactive and this really engaged the children. It was also a bonus that on Tuesday's it is school trips only - so there were no members of the public in the building. This gave us an extra level of safety. The science garden was outstanding and the planetarium show was very informative. The guide was slightly less experienced at reading the room re: behaviour, but as school staff we could assist with this. The walk from the coach drop to the museum entrance was acceptable, there were no roads to cross making the walk easier with a full class whilst on public footpaths. The toilet and lunch facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff were kind, enthusiastic and very helpful throughout. (November 2021 - Primary School)

Great varied and stimulating facilities for the children to get involved in. The children enjoyed recognising learning they had done in Science, as well as finding out new facts for upcoming Science units within each exhibit. The Luminous Light Show was fun and engaging, and the children enjoyed taking part. (November 2021 - Primary School)

MiniBrum was fabulous too and provided opportunities for much needed social skill development in the current climate. Thanks to all of the staff who made the day so enjoyable and easy! Our trip to Think Tank was a very positive experience. The children accessed a range of activities that supported a number of units of work and subjects that they children have been learning. The freedom to explore these activities at our own pace allowed us to interact with the children and ask questions relevant to their learning. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and supported the children's learning in an appropriate manner.
