(September 2021 - Primary School)

An excellent place to take any KS2 children - highly recommended! (July 2021 - Primary School)

(July 2021 - Primary School)

All members of the party thoroughly enjoyed the content of the visit as it was an excellent way to introduce the topic. The only problem was we hadn't allocated enough time at the venue to exploit all the opportunities available. (September 2020 - Primary School)

Unfortunately we were unable to attend due to Covid19 (June 2020 - Secondary School)

The trip was very successful for a number of reasons. The centre itself has lots to see and do and the quizzes provided beforehand were invaluable tools to keep the children engaged and focus their learning. The four different zones ensured a breadth of knowledge was covered. The workshop was well-led and the children were highly engaged. Many of the activities had been covered beforehand in class. It might have been useful to have more detailed scientific explanations during the workshop or even further learning challenges to be completed back in the classroom. (This is just a suggestion). Some of the activities in the 'fire' zone were out of order which was a little disappointing. (March 2020 - Primary School)

Students enjoyed the day. The provider itinerary was useful and the provider led workshops were exciting. (March 2020 - Secondary School)

(March 2019 - Primary School)

A lot of the features such as the big melt were not working or they weren't put on for our visit which was a bit of a shame for the amount of money the pupils spent. We weren't given prior warning of this either. (March 2019 - Primary School)

(January 2019 - Primary School)

(December 2018 - Primary School)

The children really enjoyed the trip however there were a lot of interactive resources and equipment that were out of order. (November 2018 - Primary School)

Excellent workshops and activities for the children to complete. The museum was very busy on the day that we attended but staff were well prepared for this and there were very good systems in place. A criticism might be that we waited for 'The Big Burn' exhibition to begin. It was listed as starting at 11 o'clock but after a ten minute wait nothing happened. There were a number of schools waiting. Only when I approached a museum guide was I told that there was a technical issue. (November 2018 - Primary School)

Activity rooms are engaging and enjoyable for the children. The workshop was ot as effective due to the teacher talking for the majority of it rather than having the children do the work. (November 2018 - Primary School)

This is a huge venue with lots to see and experience. It is very dark inside so take as many adults as you possibly can - definitely one to over-staff! There's so much to do and see; we didn't get time to do everything. (November 2018 - Primary School)

Lots of hands-on activities for children to complete, never bored and very helpful staff. (October 2018 - Primary School)

(October 2018 - Primary School)

A great day had by all with meaningful learning experiences! Great demonstrations. (October 2018 - Primary School)

Excellent visit as usual, though as we return each year we do find more and more of the experiments not working. I think it requires a little investment to bring everything up to scratch again. (September 2018 - Primary School)

(September 2018 - Primary School)
