great venue - same as my other review (May 2020 - Secondary School)

Great support with organisation of trip! (February 2020 - Primary School)
Leaving earlier a head of the school day helped with traffic. On arrival the early lunch suited the younger children as they were hungry and they then had less to carry.
Groups of 5 worked well with the ratio of 8 adults due to busy location and narrow corridors and rooms etc. Easy to carry out head counts. The extra adults helped with supervision of toilets as there was one way in and a different way out. A male member of staff ensured was a more efficient and faster process.
The workshop was brilliant! The story teller was very engaging and knowledgeable. It would have been useful to find out what locations the workshop would be held in to plan for the self-led tours.
We left the venue at the perfect time to make it back to school for 3:45pm. Future planning:
Plan ahead for cover arrangements/duties to allow for extra staffing. Teach the topic before the visit again as this helped children bring the history to life. (February 2020 - Primary School)
Great location for bringing Tudors to life (February 2020 - Secondary School)
The day was very informative and the story of Duleep Singh really captured students' imaginations. Students in Year 8 produced interesting short pieces of creative writing in response to seeing the Queen's collection of state jewels etc. They will be honing this in subsequent sessions and working with poet Dean Atta in March. The trip was successful. The resources downloaded from the TOL site and made into a booklet asked relevant questions to direct them to key Norman features on the route, as well as giving them space to make their own observations. (January 2020 - Primary School)

This was a great visit, especially if the weather is good. I would also recommend travelling to and from the Tower by river cruise. It always takes a long time to actually enter the Tower as we always have to sort things out that seem straightforward. (June 2019 - Secondary School)
Excellent trip but getting in was a nightmare- 20 mins plus queuing at the group entrance. (June 2019 - Secondary School)

Fantastic - so much to see and do for the children. We learned lots about Tudor history before the trip. The children were excited to see the actual place where so much had happened in Tudor times. (January 2019 - Primary School)
The Crime and Punishment presenter was fantastic, the Tudor Clothing presenter was ok. (December 2018 - Primary School)

Students enjoyed learning about the physical attributes of the castle, particularly how thick the walls were, as well as how it was used for defence and as a royal palace. (July 2018 - Secondary School)

Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Ticket collection was easy and no queues. The details were communicated easily and clearly. The taught session was excellent and totally engaged the children. It linked clearly to our area of learning and helped the children contextualise what we had learnt.
So much to see and do around the Tower, the children loved it all. staff were helpful and obliging when answering questions. Year 6 children and staff agreed it was the best trip we had been on for years. (March 2018 - Primary School)
