Had an amazing day. The staff are very knowledgeable and had a lovely repour with the children. The children all gained so much from the hands on experiences and it backed up their learning from the classroom. (July 2022 - Primary School)

An excellent 2 day residential visit.
Staff excellent, activities well resourced and delivered.
Pupils really excited about thier experience. (July 2019 - Primary School)
The safeguarding aspect that Mr R Linkens discussed with the Centre manager was that a memebr of our academy staff arriving on the 2nd day was not challenged or asked for her ID badge to verify her identity and links to Hexthorpe Primary Academy.
Mr R Linkens went through the reasons he had brought this to the manager's attention and this was taken on board as a serious issue to follow up for the centre.
Issues:
1) A list of who is visiting the site, in relation to the party visiting the centre
2) a number of schools there, could mean a lack of clarity as to the identity of visitors or staff and/or which school they belong to.
3) Safeguarding with our Academy highlights, this as a key aspect at school and needs a similar level of scrutiny for the pupils when they are off site, in line with what the academy expects at a school level. (July 2019 - Primary School)

The centre was extremely well equipped and the staff were knowledgeable and highly effective. We had to adapt our activities due to poor weather in the morning of our visit and the team at Austerfield were extremely accommodating. (May 2018 - Primary School)
