The museum staff were well organised and met the coach straight away. The guides were very helpful and informative and the parts of the site they showed us were relevant to the learning experience we required. The lunch facilities were adequate. The timings of the day worked well and the sessions in the Victorian school and the rag rug making were excellent. A fantastic trip and day out. Staff were excellent and the establishment was organised effectively in line with COVID safety. The children enjoyed the visit and there was lots learning opportunities throughout the day. For organisation, the children would have benefitted from smaller groups (7/8 chn) rather than 15 as getting them into shops etc was a squeeze but consideration would need to be considered for staff ticket costs. The Museum provided each small group with a tour guide who stayed with us all day. We also were given a tour of the mine and the school room.
