Always enjoyable, tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and the setting is very eye-opening! (February 2020 - Secondary)




An excellent venue. A large heated room was used for our toy workshop which provided plenty of space for the children to explore the toys. The guides were experienced in talking to young children. (January 2020 - Primary)

Great trip. The children really enjoyed learning about how people lived in Victorian times. They especially enjoyed visiting the old school and the shops. They also played street games and visited the cinema and fair. There was enough to keep them occupied all day. (July 2019 - Primary)

Communication with school (or lack of) meant we arrived at the trip without a designated guide. We were then told that KS1 and KS3 were provided with a guide but KS2 had to book it at an additional cost. (April 2019 - Primary)

The Museum provided each small group with a tour guide who stayed with us all day. We also were given a tour of the mine and the school room. (March 2018 - Secondary)
