They offer a wide range of outdoor and adventurous activities including: climbing, abseiling, kayaking, sailing, caving, paddle-boarding, zorbing, archery and raft building. (June 2023 - Primary School)
The centre does not seem to have any security. Three members of staff walked onto the site on different days, none were questioned by any centre staff. Not good enough for primary aged children.
When bus arrived, school not greeted by centre staff. They made their way onto the site and sat waiting under a tree until the instructors came to take them to first activity.
No site briefing or instructions on where to find water stations despite 27 degree temperatures.
Accommodation was really poor, beds very narrow for children let alone staff. Staff bedrooms with tiny bunk beds, showers not fixed to the wall and only trickles of water. Mattresses dirty, staff had a very uncomfortable two nights.
Food on day one was poor and child sized portions given to staff.
Bush craft - centre staff left school staff to make sure the fire went out. Centre staff left the area. Big H&S concerns. (June 2023 - Primary School)

All the staff were helpful and nothing was too much for them to get extra things for us or help us with questions. (March 2023 - Primary School)

All students were well cared for. All instructors were approachable and engaging. The centre very quickly responded to an problem with our activity schedule and no activity time was lost. I will definitely be looking to return to Caldecotte again next academic year. (July 2022 - Secondary School)

Children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were safe at all times. (July 2021 - Primary School)
Good provision of activities. Instructors were clear and knew what they were doing: plenty of games were introduced to keep each activity fast paced. Only negative was that there were no clear instructions on arrival - a member of staff arrived just after us and said she was meant to greet us and would be out shortly but never re-appeared. Groups had to make their way from the central arrival point to the location of the first activities. (June 2021 - Primary School)
Children really enjoyed their day. Instructors were all positive with the children. Children had a fun day of activities. (June 2021 - Primary School)

Excellent session the staff were able to meet the needs of all the learners who took part and supported with getting onto the water a very nervous young man who they took onto the powerboat to help him overcome the fears he was having about the water experience. As well as organise an excellent canoe orienteering exercise for our young people who thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. (September 2019 - Secondary School)

Excellent trip (September 2019 - Primary School)
The instructors were very professional and engage with the young people well. (August 2019 - Secondary School)
When we first arrived, the entire centre had not been cleaned properly. However, having spoken to the manager this was quickly rectified and the area manager came to ensure that the rest of our stay was really lovely. The main building could do with an upgrade but given the activities, staff, experience etc., I would give this a 4 star. (April 2019 - Primary School)
Excellent instructors. (April 2019 - Primary School)
Caldecotte provides a multitude of new challenges to the children. They find courage to overcome fears, explore independence and responsibility for themselves staying away from parents.
Logistically, the timings leave too little time for lunch but this is a small problem. The experience the children gain from this visit is invaluable. (April 2019 - Primary School)

The children were able to experience lots of various activities that wouldn't necessarily be available to them. The weather was quite poor; however this not stop both staff and children making the very best inside and out building up confidence, independence and awareness for both team work and individual self improvement. (March 2019 - Primary School)

Very well organised, although the timetable meant that on some days children did not have adequate time to eat their lunch. (July 2018 - Primary School)
