Great center with so much to offer for STEM and DofE (October 2024 - Secondary School)
Site needs some TLC (September 2024 - Secondary School)

Very helpful staff and simple booking procedure. (July 2024 - Secondary School)
Most of the activities were brilliant. Photo hunt was not a good activity.
There was a lot of waiting around time in between breakfast and the first activity and the last activity of the afternoon to dinner to then the last activity. The children struggled with such long stretches of waiting. The accommodation in Rowan was fine. Cedar's block was not nice e.g. torn curtains, horrible toilet, not enough toilets for the amount of children and too far away from the bedrooms so there were toileting accidents in the night, no shower facilities in the block. Half of the children got a nice experience in Rowan and half a horrible one in Cedars which wasn't really fair. We would have really appreciated a central person to welcome us on arrival as again there was a lot of waiting around and no one came to great us and tell us what to do. (July 2024 - Primary School)

Very good option for a short residential visit for Y5 pupils. (May 2024 - Primary School)
Fantastic for team-building! (May 2024 - Secondary School)
Phasels Wood was very disappointing, dirty, unmanned, no local toilet blocks to the camping field. (February 2024 - Primary School)
Excellent pastoral value. (October 2023 - Secondary School)

would have been useful to have a little more support and explanation for self-led activities (July 2023)

Toilets were a long way from the camping site we were allocated. Also the grass was super long, which when it rained soaked shoes and trousers, when dry made hayfever sufferers poorly. (July 2023 - Secondary School)

Good camp site for Duke of Edinburgh. Access is limited to A41 slipway for cars and bus but on foot footpath access is ok. Narrow roads to be aware of. Sadly at the time if year we went the outside washing up facilities were not available which meant lack of hot water. There are not seperate toilet facilities for staff and students. I have visited with a school before and have always been really impressed. This time, I do not believe the instructors were as knowledgeable or explained the activities as well as have been in the past. I believe this was due to lack of experience. (July 2022 - Primary School)

A really good day - Instructors worked well with our students (November 2021 - Secondary School)
Great day out. Only 4 stars as would have liked more support for activities by staff on site. (September 2021 - Secondary School)
(October 2019 - Primary School)
Always excellent. good relationship with staff there. (July 2019 - Secondary School)
Despite it being the wettest day of the year, the children had a fantastic time learning key skills - independence, communication, team building and confidence. (June 2019 - Primary School)
(June 2019 - Secondary School)
The site itself was good and well organised.
The tunnelling activity could be improved- the tunnels themselves had litter around and inside them and the site instructors could ave provided more support for the children. Other activities were good. Building was good but kitchen could have had more cooking equipment eg. 1 chopping knife (June 2019 - Primary School)

Students on the whole enjoyed the experience of camping. Impressed with tents and location. The trip enabled Chancellor’s staff to witness students in various situations, often out of their comfort zone. This will be hugely beneficial next year and provided us all, but particularly NQT’s, with invaluable experience of a school trip. (July 2018 - Secondary School)
