The REP’s mission has always been to produce excellent theatrical experiences, to entertain, enlighten and engage audiences and, wherever possible, to reflect the diversity of Birmingham and the surrounding region. This supports our vision, which is to ‘Inspire the city of Birmingham to a lifelong love of theatre’
As well as producing a range of theatre, The REP also has a large Learning & Participation team, committed to delivering educational work for schools and community groups.

Organisation to seats was tricky, and more staff needed to be on hand to direct schools to their seats.

The Rep were very helping with our queries before the performance, and helpful when it came to finding somewhere to sit with a class of children. They were able to put our minds at rest with regards to our child visiting with a medical need (diabetes.) (March 2019 - Primary School)

The group was secondary aged students from a special school who all have complex and multiple additional needs.
The pre-visit information and communication received from The Rep was fantastic - in particular the social story. On the day, we were made to feel welcome by all staff we encountered and nothing was too much trouble - very accommodating, and it was made clear that during the relaxed performance the students needs could be met eg leaving for some quiet time/time out, noise etc without judgement. The children loved the meet and greet with some of the cast in their costumes at the end, and once again our group was made to feel a part of the whole experience. Would highly recommend a relaxed performance to anyone visiting with our kind of group - a brilliant day! (January 2019 - Secondary School)
