An excellent museum, with plenty of interesting artefacts to see. (December 2018 - Secondary - Post No: 8417 )

Very accommodating and welcoming. (December 2018 - Secondary - Post No: 8327 )

Loads of information and space. Could easily have 2 days at the attraction to see it all properly. It was very busy and sometimes hard to find your way around. (December 2018 - Primary - Post No: 8234 )

Excellent museum and knowledgeable staff. Discover guide was very good and well worth buying. The only negative was that they didn't have water taps which students could use to refill bottles. This was disappointing - there was one but it was a faint dribble and considering they often have 1400 students in a day - insufficient. (November 2018 - Secondary - Post No: 7786 )

Great place for the day to stimulate the children's interest in our writing unit. A few of the exhibits are dated and dusty and need an overhaul however the children loved the hands on areas such as evolution and earth. (June 2018 - Primary - Post No: 4718 )

Great venue, good picnic facilities. Toilets cleaned and well-maintained, staff efficient. Talk we booked was good, but children struggled because it involved standing after a lot of walking. (May 2018 - Primary - Post No: 3459 )

The Natural History Museum is a good place to take a year 1 class and lots of the exhibits and signs were well tailored to the children's needs and age. However, I was less impressed by the quality of the activities/workshops organised by the Natural History Museum schools team. Our 'Explorers and Other Animals' activity was simple to book, but upon our arrival, I was informed that our activity had been cancelled due to a lost key for the resource cupboard. I was disappointed by the disorganised nature of the school dining area; we were kept waiting for at least 15 minutes before we could be assisted by a member of staff and could be allocated a place to put our bags. Overall, the layout of the schools area and museum is perhaps best suited to older children. (December 2017 - Primary - Post No: 388 )

Extremely interesting and diverse range and modes of exhibits. Students were intrigued by the dinosaurs, mammals and other animal displays. Furthermore, they found the minerals and earthquake exhibits fascinating. (December 2017 - Secondary - Post No: 197 )
