Nothing beats seeing animals in real life and a trip to ZSL London Zoo is a brilliant opportunity to take your learning outside the classroom. With over 20,000 animals calling the Zoo home, exciting exhibits to explore and multiple routes to take, it’s the ultimate learning adventure.

Safety is our top priority and we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable visit. Our zoo COVID-safety measures and school Risk Assessment can be found on our website.

We also have a range of workshops and self-guided resources for 4-18 year olds, linking the National Curriculum and Exam Board syllabi to our conservation work.

Everything inside the zoo was very expensive so it is much better if studetns bring their own food and drinks with them. (September 2024 - Secondary School)

I loved that they shared educational trip maps showing places for large groups to eat, toilets, quiet spaces. really helpful. As we came in they gave 2 large bin bags for us to put rubbish into once we had eaten our lunch. Very organised. They came round and collected it. (July 2024 - Primary School)

As the S4 Art curriculum includes a project about London Zoo, visiting the zoo itself gave students not only a better understanding of how a zoo is run, but also gave the opportunity to use the animals as sources for observational drawing, and photography that can be used as primary sources for later pieces. Zoo it self was great and very interesting. The workshop was very basic for what we are paying for, although engaging didn't add to the trip. The workshop was just a room for students to touch animal skins, was mostly adult run by the school. Was almost as if paying for the room. (March 2022 - Primary School)
