Acorn Travel Group Ltd. (Formerly The School Travel Company) | | The school Travel company is not one that I would recommend due to the poor communication and lack of organisation from the company. They have also since been very shady about leaving formal feedback for them, refusing to send me the link to give feedback until they have spoken to our headmaster. The overall experience was very stressful when booking with them and the bus company used was also very unprofessional. Besides this, the trip was hugely successful and when booking through another company, would be a trip I would run again. The disadvantages of going over the weekend are that some galleries and exhibitions do not allow school groups over the weekend and it is also much busier. This would mean we are limited to the days we can visit or need to rearrange our plans to account for this. A week day trip would be better, but taking too much time from the half term break for staff and students would not be beneficial as a rest is needed for both parties at some stage. Other than this, the trip was great. For travel and accommodation, I would use the EuroTunnel if I ran this trip again to save on time, and I would use a different Hostel which was a specialist hostel for youths and school groups, not for the use of the general public. I would want to do a rec visit before my next trip to feel more confident in the run up and planning of the trip, as this also added additional stress trying to run and plan the trip from second hand information from others who had run similar trips. | 20 March 2023 |

Science Museum | | The Science museum cannot book the iMAX until ~ 6 weeks before a visit. This is too late as in order to ensure students can use the Wonderlab we need to book when tickets become available (~ 6 months before the visit) and the letter to parents / guardians for payment is sent before the iMAX can be confirmed/ | 18 March 2023 |
Science Museum | | In order to ensure we have access to the Wonderlab the trip needs to be booked in Oct/Nov but at this time it is not possible to book the iMAX as the Science museum does not release dates until ~ 6 weeks before a date which is after we need to ask for payments. We will not book the iMAX but spend more time in the galleries. | 18 March 2023 |

For the volume on schools attending, extra toilet facilities may have improved the experience as it took a long time queuing. Also a sign for the disabled toilet which states that not all disabilities are visible as we were met with a grumpy member of staff from another school.
The pupils absolutely loved the trip and it was very accessible for all, the playground was great for allowing the class to have some fresh air and run around time. | 17 March 2023 |
