Year 10 French Students Explore the Wonders of Paris Year 10 students embarked on an exciting French adventure, filled with fun, culture and unforgettable experiences. From thrilling theme park rides to exploring some of France’s most iconic landmarks, the trip was a fantastic opportunity to practise language skills, discover French culture and create memories together. The trip got off to an exciting start with a visit to Parc Astérix where students enjoyed a day full of adrenaline, laughter and impressive rides. After an action-packed day, everyone returned to the château for some well-deserved relaxation and a refreshing swim. Day two brought a taste of traditional French life as students explored the market town of Coulommiers, taking in the local sights and atmosphere. The group then travelled to the spectacular Château de Fontainebleau a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they stepped back in time and discovered the fascinating history of one of France’s most beautiful royal residences. The evening continued back at the château, where students enjoyed a swim before putting their culinary skills to the test by making their own delicious French crêpes. The highlight of the trip for many was the final day in Paris. Students enjoyed a coach tour through the city, spotting famous landmarks before visiting the incredible Louvre Museum. After taking in some of the world’s most famous artworks, everyone enjoyed a picnic with an unbeatable view of the Eiffel Tower. The adventure continued with a relaxing cruise along the River Seine, giving students the perfect chance to admire the beauty of Paris from the water. Back at the château, the final evening was one to remember. Students bravely sampled the French speciality of snails before celebrating together at a lively disco. It was the perfect ending to an amazing trip before heading home on Friday. The Year 10 students represented the school brilliantly throughout the visit. They stepped out of their comfort zones by speaking French in real-life situations, tasting unfamiliar foods and embracing new experiences with confidence and enthusiasm. Their willingness to challenge themselves and immerse themselves in French language and culture made the trip a huge success, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories and stories to share.

The venue is well equipped with a pool, basket ball court and football pitch. The staff also arrange many activities to keep the students engaged. Because of the locality to Paris I think it would be an ideal base for any trips to that region.
