School residentials are our speciality at Eaton Vale, and we can’t wait to deliver you an action packed residential. As a Learning Outside the Classroom approved centre, our activities meet Key Stages 2 and 3 curriculum requirements, make a real contribution to a young person’s development and above all else provide an unforgettable experience for the young people.
There are lots of ways we can help you. We can work with you to plan and run a fully catered residential visit. Free teacher places are available at a 1:10 ratio.
You might want to bring a group for an Activity Day. Our activities are suited to children from 5 upwards. Or why not talk to us about the possibility of camping here?

Canoeing and Raft Building fantastic as always. First group must allow enough time to change before starting cave bus/ pedal karts as this year they were too slow changing and missed out on one of the two. Next year - see if we can have access to the pedal karts and cave bus for longer (ie into the 'lunchtime') or end the water activities slightly sooner to allow enough time for changing and the next two activities. Chn became restless with an hour for lunch.

Eaton Vale was a successful trip. The children gained a lot of experience in life skills ( looking after their own money ; making their bed and; packing up their belongings without adult support). The children also experienced a range of engaging activities which allowed them to demonstrate teamwork, communication and determination to face their fears.
When speaking with the children, they said that they all enjoyed the trip and had lots of fun. The instructors at Eaton Vale were fantastic, as always, and the purpose of the trip was met.

We had a very successful residential visit at Eaton Vale - the staff were extremely helpful. I was given an emergency number to call if needed in the evenings, and on the one occasion that I did need to call it, the man I spoke to came to our assistance straight away. (May 2024 - Primary School)

This residential was beautifully organised by the visit leaders from start to finish (thank you Rosie) and we have already booked our next residential for year 6.
No unforeseen risks or hazards came to light (other than the dogs on the far bank during kayaking, which the activity leaders are aware of).

Y3 had a great time. The centre were very accommodating when we revised our timing to make the lunchtime a bit shorter. I think any younger years would probably be better just doing a morning's activities rather than a full day as it was full on and very tiring. (July 2021 - Primary School)

This was an absolutely fantastic residential. The centre is immaculately clean and beautifully maintained. The staff cannot do enough to ensure that the children have a wonderful time. The meals are wholesome and well prepared with children in mind. This is our third year and we will definitely be returning next year. The children experienced adventurous activities which challenged and extended their aspirations. In addition to this, they developed their personal skills, learnt to work as part of a team and developed leadership skills.
