| NST Travel Group | In previous years we have had a fabulous experience with NST, but unfortunately this trip did not live up to expectations and I feel the service provided was not up to standard. The impacts of covid have undoubtedly caused some of this, and feel like a lot of the staff were inexperienced and were dealing with too many tours, which meant simple tasks and information was overlooked. | Eureka | Eureka were very good and very organized. We were met off the coach and separated into 2 main groups one each with a lead teacher and 4 other adults. We got our lunches and coats taken and stored in bins for the day (or until lunch). The way the day worked was that one group went round the interactive museum first and then had a work shop and the other group did the opposite. We had a senses work shop which linked to our living things science and how animals use their senses as well as humans. | Discovery Museum - Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums | Our morning was based around our train project and we used the Great Hall, which is a beautiful venue, but we also had a quick look around the museum and there was so much to see that I felt bad rushing the children. | Holland Park Ecology Centre | This was a really great trip. The workshop leader was calm and knowledgeable, pitching the material just right for the student needs. The time taken on talking/discussion and the practical activities of pond dipping and mini beast hunt was well scheduled. It was a safe environment and the students got lots out of it. Materials and resources are available from the centre to use with the students before and after the visit. I would definitely recommend this venue for educational visits.
