Brilliantly organised with engaging activities. Due to limited space and toilets, I would suggest this venue is not big enough to cater for 85 children on a whole day visit. The children struggled to eat their lunch in such a small space and were unable to have a movement break anywhere. (June 2024 - Primary School)

Yes the trip all went smoothly. The children spent the day learning all about Victorian life, held artefacts and spent the time completing many activities. All behaved well and no problems with any children at all. (June 2024 - Primary School)

Year 4 had a great day learning all about Roman customs, traditions and history. We completed 6 workshops, exploring Roman treasures, make up, mosaics, food, past times and daily life. The characters who delivered each session were engaging and well planned. (October 2021 - Primary School)

Very well-thought out day in the museum. The children learnt about local history with hands -on activities. The museum provided specialised staff, in authentic clothing, as actors to tell their story of WW1. The activities were no longer than 25 minutes long, so the children were constantly kept interested. (February 2020 - Primary School)

Excellent hands on activities Well pitched to children (year 2) Well organised and adapted to school needs Children loved it (January 2020 - Primary School)

Staff were extremely well organised , activities were varied and pacy to keep interest of the Year 2 class visiting . (October 2019 - Primary School)

(August 2019 - Primary School)

This was an invaluable trip for some as there were some pupils that had never visited a museum before. Whilst some struggled with controlling their behaviour, others pupils were extremely well behaved and displayed great manners. The staff were all dressed in period costume, relative to the period and a specific job role such as a VAD nurse, soldier or suffragette, this enhanced the experience and with the varied activities it proved to be a great learning experience. (July 2019 - Secondary School)

Staff really got into role, children had a great time. (May 2019 - Primary School)

We had a fantastic morning, the children learnt lots about Sikhism and Duleep Singh. (February 2019 - Primary School)
