Our morning was based around our train project and we used the Great Hall, which is a beautiful venue, but we also had a quick look around the museum and there was so much to see that I felt bad rushing the children. I think this museum is brilliant and the walkthrough of Newcastle history is excellent!! (April 2023 - Primary School)

This was a fantastic workshop which engaged the children. They were absolutely enthralled. A wonderful opportunity to explore Victorian artefacts first hand, and retell the events of The Great Fire with a puppet show. (November 2021 - Primary School)

We were met by a representative and guided to where to store coats and lunches. The lesson was well planned and resourced and was a good mix of teaching and the children experimenting. We had plenty of time to explore the rest of the museum at our leisure. (April 2019 - Primary School)

Fantastic day! (September 2018)
Great museum with lots to see. Lost a star because some of the interactive exhibits weren't working (September 2018 - Secondary School)

Very beneficial and worth while, it enhanced our topic on rivers and bridges. Organised lunch area and private hire of PlayTyne were both great. Walk on the quayside consolidated nicely. (June 2018 - Primary School)
