| Aylmerton Outdoor Education Centre | This is a fantastic venue for a residential visit. The staff are all brilliant- they build a brilliant rapport with the children while being both entertaining and informative. Sparky in particular helped one student with autism face his fears of heights so he could complete a high ropes challenge and made him so proud of himself! The food and the accommodation is great although we do prefer The Lodge as we feel the dorm sizes are more appropriate for our children. | Discover the World Ltd | Beautiful environment, excellent guide and superbly run activities with highest standards for safety and skill training. Brilliant awe and wonder experience for students to see the scale of landforms and environmental quality. Excellent learning opportunities and pastoral development too through mixing between year groups. Activities were confidence building but non competitive; collaboration in rafting was promoted too- huge sense of acheivement shared by our students. Trip staff were fully supported by company and hostel/ coach and activity leaders. Definately a trip to repeat- if flight times allow, scope to extend into a visit to Bergen town, or HEP power station (to tie in with year 8 geography curriculum). | 28 June 2023 | |

| Discover the World Ltd | Large groups accommodated in sister hotel, has a bar which is open to the public till 2am so be mindful of this. It was quiet bar though so only a couple of members of the public. Breakfast (buffet, good choice and quality), packed lunch (okay - piece of fruit, water and ham/ salami sub roll), dinner - pasta starter, meat and fried potato main course and cake desert - main course poor quality, small portions. Service good, remember to book dinner times early to get ahead of other groups. No where to fill up water bottles which was an issue, staff got really cross when students were filling bottles up from their large water bottles. | 28 June 2023 | |

| Rayburn Tours Ltd | I hadn't used Rayburn before and they helped me put together a really exciting trip for y8 which included visits to galleries, country parks, boat trips, flamenco lessons and spanish lessons. This was very much a cultural trip and an opportunity for y8 to spend some time together away from school. Rayburn were great... there was a lot of chopping and changing with numbers of students and they bent over backwards to make it work. Once in Spain everything ran smoothly. Coaches turned up, tickets were on the Vamoos app, they had built in lots of down time and the girls had a really enjoyable experience. The hotel we stayed in was lovely - brand new, spotless and they really enjoyed having a group of quite noisy y8 girls. We would definitely use Rayburn again and i am planning the next trip already - possibly somewhere a bit warmer as Santander was quite soggy. | 28 June 2023 | |
