(December 2021 - Primary School)

Helpful staff. Was useful to have a schools guide to talk to us about a few planes in the Airspace Hangar upon our arrival. A pre-visit was very useful to determine the highlights and decide on a route for each group on arrival as time was short. Better to carry lunch with us rather than return to Airspace as distances covered were quite great! (December 2021 - Primary School)

A fully immersive trip for Year 5/6. We concentrated on the WW2 displays because of time constraints of the day. The children really enjoyed the dressing up and other immersivenes of the Dunkirk landing. We also included the American Hangar for the 'awesomeness' of the B52! (January 2019 - Primary School)

Excellent venue with amazing facilities and resources to support our WW2 topic. My children were really interested to hear their stories of their experiences. Thank you! (November 2018 - Primary School)

(May 2018 - Primary School)

(April 2018 - Primary School)

This a fantastic trip which is free when no workshop option is taken (they no longer run workshops for KS1, sadly). On arrival we were unexpectedly met by some education volunteers, who were a helpful source of information. However, as we had not known that they would be there, we hadn't planned for it and it did somewhat alter the day, with less time for small groups to go and do their own exploring. A number of the hands on science activities were unfortunately out of action, but for the children to see the scale close up of the planes and other vehicles is of enormous benefit. There are usually planes taking off and landing, which is also a fantastic first hand experience. The eating area and storage area are good. The main thing that makes this trip harder for children is the large distance between areas of the museum and the distance between toilets. (April 2018 - Primary School)

(April 2018 - Primary School)

(April 2018 - Secondary School)

Visit was a great success and website was very useful for planning and preparation. Lunch facilities offered were overcrowded and my class ended up eating their lunch on the floor outside the Eating Space. (February 2018 - Primary School)
