Laing Art Gallery - Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums


Description

The Laing Art Gallery is the North East's premier Art Gallery with an internationally significant collection. The gallery today is home to an internationally important collection of art, focusing on British oil paintings, watercolours, ceramics, silver and glassware.

The Laing Art Gallery holds regularly changing exhibitions of historic, modern and contemporary art, and events including artist and curator talks and family activities.

We offer a wide range of workshops for EYFS, Primary, Secondary and Colleges, inclusive of SEND. We offer a range of practical workshops which explore Portraits, Landscapes, Sculpture, Watercolours, Printmaking and more.

A fantastic day of activities promoting public speaking, working alongside the current exhibition - Enchanted Interiors. Artist Nicola Maxwell was a great host and interacted with the pupils well. (February 2020 - Secondary School)
