| Colchester Zoo | Lack of organised lunch storage made the process of dropping off and collecting these items too long. This resulted in us leaving the venue later than expected and being late back to school. The venue have no processes in order to support schools - no crates for storage/separation from other visiting schools. For younger children, it is too large a venue to take everything in effectively - we rushed around in order to make the most of our time, bearing in mind how far we all had to walk in order to see as much as possible to make the trip worthwhile. | Field Studies Council - Epping Forest | Quality of teaching from FSC was patchy. Many of the staff it was their second day. The instructions given to students were not clear, and the task was not gone over in the class rooms so students had no idea about how the methods linked to the research question or what the research question was. One group couldnt go to one of the sites as their member of staff refused to walk down the hill. Overall the experience of the FSC was poor contributing to us completing the fieldwork in house in future. In house will also be more cost effective. | 28 April 2023 | |

| Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre | The range of activities at Oxenwood is impressive for a small venue. The pupils had an opportunity to try archery, wall-climbing, problem solving challenges and fire-making. | Thorpe Park (Day Visits) | Everyone had great fun, but beware of the queues, some were up to 90mins. So advise to go to rides you most want to do first. You can apply for ride access pass for those who find queuing difficult due to a physical disability or other need. You can do this on the day, but you need to provide a letter of proof. However the queues for this were very long. You can apply before you go, I would advise doing this if needed. | 27 April 2023 | |
| The London Eye | although it was busy as we had booked a slot we didn't have to queue long, they kept us in our group of 16 for the pop. Everyone enjoyed he sights of london and nice clear day which makes a difference. its only takes about 40mins so you need other activities to fill the day, small park near where you can eat packed lunches and younger ones can play in the park. Note there are no free public toilets, only ones near the london eye are £1 per person! use the toilets at waterloo before you leave the station if you are travelling by train to avoid a big toilet bill, they take contactless card and coins. | 27 April 2023 | |
