The Venue provided a great opportunity for students to strengthen their understanding about the impact of wars during the 20th and 21st century. Exhibits were age appropriate and engaging for student interest. It was unfortunate that we were unable to visit the Holocaust exhibition, which is only accessible as part of a two-hour workshop, our limited time at the museum did not allow for this. (October 2018 - Secondary School)

I visited the IWM London with a group of Year 10 pupils. I thought the Holocaust exhibit was good, except that we were pressed for time and needed to leave early in light of catching a train. Some staff were not happy with this and became quite terse which I felt was unnecessary and rude. When we finished the exhibit, there was no member of staff to greet us or direct us to collect our bags. I had to ask a volunteer and then someone at the front desk to contact the member of staff who took in our bags. Eventually the staff member was tracked down and we were allowed to collect our bags and leave. I did notice that staff were extremely busy, but felt they could have been a bit more friendlier. This experience has put me off from rebooking a trip. (October 2018 - Secondary School)

It was a large open plan museum and the staff were particularly accommodating. The staff led two talks despite only booking self-led tours. (October 2018 - Primary School)

Fabulous day, incredible place full of fascinating artefacts and stories behind them. The museum itself hasn't lost a star - it was more about the organisation of admitting school groups.Very disappointed to get there at our allotted time, only to be kept waiting for well over an hour to be let in. Very little understanding of how this would impact on remainder of the day and the moods of the children. Once in the exhibitions were fabulous - the only slight let down was the lack of the "trench experience" and that our students were too young to go into the Holocaust exhibition as part of a school group, but can if they're with parents. (September 2018 - Secondary School)

Lots of space for pupils to wander safely and take in information. Short tour given at the start. (September 2018 - Secondary School)

Great Museum with a lot of history to share. very accessible for all. (September 2018 - Primary School)

Great exhibition, easy to deal with and responsive staff. (July 2018 - Secondary School)

Staff were very helpful. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed their experience. There were lots of interactive activities to engage the pupils. (June 2018 - Secondary School)

(June 2018 - Primary School)

Always a thought provoking trip- students behaved excellent. (June 2018 - Secondary School)

Always very impressed with the Holocaust exhibit that we visit here. It is a valuable part of our curriculum. (May 2018 - Secondary School)

It would be nice to be able to book further in advance than they allow. It can become very busy with school children and the lunch room can be chaos. We couldn't find access to any educational booklets etc so had to make up our own. Overall a very worthwhile trip. (May 2018 - Primary School)

(May 2018 - Primary School)

The tour around the houses of parliament was very good and suitable for sixth form history pupils. The Imperial War museum was also very impressive and interesting, again for our history pupils. (April 2018 - Secondary School)

Always very impressed with the Holocaust exhibit that we visit here. It is a valuable part of our curriculum.

May 2018 - Primary School
It would be nice to be able to book further in advance than they allow. It can become very busy with school children and the lunch room can be chaos. We couldn't find access to any educational booklets etc so had to make up our own. Overall a very worthwhile trip.
