(November 2024)

(June 2024)

(March 2024 - Primary School)

We had a great and interactive learning experience at the museum. It was a compact site which managed to cram a lot in. Pupils were all provided with costumes which was amazing as it meant all pupils were equal and we did not have to travel to the venue in full Victorian regalia. The Victorian lesson was perfect as it captured the strict Victorian spirit without being overly terrifying. The pupils selected for 'caning' were delighted with the experience and the museum really took our needs into consideration by having us nominate pupils for this in advance and having good safeguarding systems and systems to support SEND learners who may not understand or enjoy the role-playing. The tour of the Victorian headmaster's house was also excellent with many opportunities for pupils to ask questions to learn more about Vicotrian life and to really feel immersed in history. (February 2024 - Primary School)

(December 2023 - Primary School)

(July 2023 - Primary School)

(April 2023 - Primary School)

(November 2022 - Primary School)

Well organised and authentic - lots of genuine artefacts and experiences (May 2022 - Primary School)

(March 2022 - Secondary School)

(January 2022 - Primary School)

(November 2021 - Primary School)

The British Schools Museum are always welcoming and cater for us accordingly. (July 2019 - Primary School)

Wonderful for the children to be immersed in a Victorian environment (June 2019 - Primary School)
