Speaking with the Education Officer whilst at Brockholes she explained that their education programmes span the ages 3yrs to university students. (May 2022 - Primary School)
Brockholes Nature Reserve is an excellent venue for schools to visit. The adventure play area incudes a low rope course and an area to build dens. The visitor centre is very informative and has live cameras showing the wildlife within the reserve. (October 2020 - Secondary School)

A great trip.
One child treated by centre staff for dust in his eye - saline wash was applied. Another child tripped and fell grazing his arm - plaster applied. Both parents were informed at the end of the trip. (June 2019 - Primary School)
Brockholes was a lovely place to visit, but we did have to carry out a number of Risk Assessments due to the vastness of the site, and the amount of water there that is not surrounded. We went with children aged 7-9 of varying behaviour and abilities. The venue recommended a ratio of 1:8 but we went with lower with a couple of children in 1:2 ratio due to their specific need. As an additional precaution a member of SLT attended in a Health and Safety capacity to observe the activities and ensure that our children remained safe whilst still having fun (March 2019 - Primary School)
