Our two-week trip to India was overall a positive and rewarding experience. One of the key highlights was the health and wellbeing of the children, which remained consistently good throughout the trip, including during the trek phase. The organisation was smooth and well-managed, and both the accommodation and food successfully met our requirements. That said, there were some challenges. The long hours of travel made certain parts of the journey quite demanding. In addition, while most meals were well received, some students experienced acute illness after eating Western-style food options. The climate also posed difficulties—high temperatures and humidity led to fatigue, and when combined with lengthy days and journeys, this left some students, particularly the younger ones, very tired. Despite these challenges, the trip provided valuable experiences and lasting memories. With careful consideration of travel schedules, meal planning, and pacing for younger participants, future trips could be made even smoother and more comfortable.
