| The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery | Even though parts of the museum were closed, the children really enjoyed the Spitfire exhibit and engaged well in finding out about the commonwealth, although some of the exhibits were a little scary for some children - stuffed animals. The Titanic exhibition was great and there was lots for the children to engage with. | THE DEEP | The Deep were very accommodating to our needs and were able to move their schedule around to ensure that we were able to participate in the lesson before our coach left. | Lodge Hill Trust | Staff were brilliant at engaging with the children. They were friendly and lead the activities really well. The site was beautiful and a great place to spend some time together. Downsides: It felt poorly organised at times. The staff didn't have the activity timetable/plan. There were missing blinds in at least half of the bedrooms and despite being told this would be sorted, in the end we had to resort to trying to get spare bedding to cover the windows instead. | ZSL Whipsnade Zoo | Love the zoo, very cross curricular! The current local price offer is making it an affordable trip for parents for those of us that work in areas where their is a lot of poverty. However with the current cost of living crisis it would be nice to see this offer rolled out to other postcodes in beds and herts too! I am also not giving 5 stars due to the lack of someone to leave lunch bags - as it is heavy for little ones to carry around until lunchtime and also due to the lack of sheltered areas for two classes to sit and enjoy their lunch in inclement weather. Also really miss the discovery centre at the zoo for a rainy day activity and the crafts that used to go on there too. | 29 April 2022 | |
