We visited this venue for its close proximity to the city centre of York and its Viking history. It would be difficult to recommend for any other subject as we did not visit for any other purpose. (July 2022 - Primary School)

We were not allocated all rooms in the same location of the hostel and had a small part of our group in an area located in a different part of the building accessed by a different staircase. Also one of the rooms allocated was not suitable for out visit as they were outside of the secured area we had been given. (April 2022 - Primary School)

Some issues with confusion over timings especially with meals - they werent the ones we agreed upon our booking in 1 month before the visit which caused disruption to us, others and the hostel with double bookings...... Hostel staff very friendly and the resources were very good. If I could add a point for improvement it would be nice that the kitchenette area were the staff were was available to make a drink in but was filled with conference tables.
