A very long but very rewarding day. I would not take pupils younger than Y5 due to the amount of walking, availability of the toilet stops and the length of the day; it's very tiring. Very well organised by the venue and felt safe at all times. (February 2024 - Primary School)

We attended the Young Voices Concert. It was well organised. Security, check in. Plenty of staff around to show you where to go, direct to toilets and help us get out safely. (January 2024 - Primary School)

The organisation of getting the students in and out of the venue was excellent - although it took 40 minutes to exit and get to the bus. Great experience for the students. A lack of tickets by the November deadline made it difficult for parents to attend. Get ticket orders in early. (February 2020 - Primary School)

The usual challenges with being amongst so many other schools. But all our risk assessments covered it. Had to wait for contact from bus driver but he quickly called back. Some parents were there when journeying to the bus. Due to staff being well located throughout the group and vigilant, this was dealt with but worth remembering and putting on the info for parents next time or making more clear to parents that they should not attempt to meet us during exit times. The school goes to this event every year with a choir of just under 60 to create a massed choir of 7-8000 - it's an unforgettable event with outstanding music supplied to schools to work on prior. They love it and put in the extra work learning all the songs willingly. (March 2019 - Primary School)
I felt that the staff and children had an enjoyable and safe experience. All the staff were given a pack of all documentation and procedure which could happen. This was also discussed the morning of the trip which I felt really allowed all staff to have a clear understanding of what would need to happen on this specific trip should anything happen. The venue was very well-staffed and the event was well managed. It was easy to find knowledgeable staff members to ask questions to. Leaving the venue was quicker than expected, although staff had to be highly vigilant as there are a huge number of students leaving at once. The risk assessment was implemented well. All staff knew what the expectations of themselves were during the visit.
For next year - we will leave at 11am
we will stay in our seats until the end of egress, as that allowed an
easier egress and walk back to the coach.

A musical 'experience' but not very educational, certainly does not develop musicianship or vocal skills. Too many songs to learn so the standard is mediocre. Very expensive for parents and costly in terms of staff time to administrate. (January 2018 - Primary School)
