| Walesby Forest | Generally we had a very good stay and experience at Walesby Forest. One or two areas need reviewing to improve the experience. Staff forgot to greet us and give us our health and safety briefing on arrival. The accommodation was basic and OK but smelt a bit musty on arrival. During one of the water activities we felt that there should have been another member of Walesby staff in the water to make it safer. | Izzy Tours | Izzy Tours is a small family company. You get very caring and bespoke customer care from them. They always try to sort things out and help. They have set up several tours to Iceland for us and they have all run very well in terms of the logistics they have provided. The only thing is that they can take a bit of time to respond to things and can provide information for your trip very late before you leave - but I am used to that now - and everything you need is provided in time (I just like things more in advance). Also being a smaller company they perhaps dont have as powerful an access to be able to book and hold fights and hotels you want as much as some of the bigger players - so you sometimes have to make adjustments about trip timings and hotel choices. However they have tended to provide good or new/ better locations than some of the bigger companies - using places that have less large school groups in them. | 03 November 2023 | |

| The Golden Hinde Educational Trust | The workshop was really interesting and engaging. The children were able to participate taking the role of different people from history. They were shown part of the ship where they learnt how things worked in a ship. They provided us with a lunch area (outside but covered) and we were able to stay there longer than the allocated time. | Halsbury Travel Ltd | The visit was extremely successful but was hampered by organisational issues caused by Halsbury. For example, we were informed that the language class was at 9am when in fact it was at 1pm. | Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium | Great day out. Was very difficult being around other schools that had either older children, or children who were not being monitored by their teachers. Initially booked the wrong ferry departure time by 24 hours, wrote the wrong name on all documentation sent to us (Horbury School rather than Horbury Academy) and also gave the wrong address and restaurant name for the meal in the first day.
