Excellent venue with lovely court room activity for the children. Excellent guided tour of the museum. Jailer experience was a bit graphic and detailed but we spoke to staff at the venue regarding our concerns and this will be fed back to the. (February 2024 - Primary School)

An excellent experience of courtrooms and history of prisons - very interactive and well organised. Children took part in a court room drama - taking on roles of judge, barrister, jury, etc - giving them great insight into the way laws are upheld in this country. Then they looked at prisons through history - brought to life by hands on objects to examine and try and actors explaining how they run their prison. A great way to extend the children's learning. The guides were very engaging and extremely knowledgeable, imparting this to students throughout the visit. The court room experiences (in the Youth Court and the Victorian courtroom) were brilliant and the student trial was a real highlight and a valuable experience for students.
