(July 2024 - Secondary School)

Great for team building and confidence building. The staff were excellent! The activity teams were very accommodating to our children with extra needs and fun. We appreciated the hour that they led an activity in the evening too. The catering staff can't do enough for you - they are so helpful, friendly and their food is lovely too. Personal development, team bonding (July 2024 - Primary School)

(July 2024 - Primary School)

Venue was good location for the expedition. Site appropriate with relevant facilities and enough space for students to feel self sufficient. Location is also ideal distance away from DWA. (June 2024 - Secondary School)

(June 2024 - Primary School)

Venue is great for the outdoors. Can be used as a base for expedition or as a centre for activities. Activities on site are varied and there is ability to camp, use their tented village or use indoor accommodation. Only point being toilet block near the DofE fields is a little older with basic facilities and no lighting. (June 2024 - Secondary School)

(June 2024 - Primary School)

(May 2024 - Primary School)

Great trip and will use again in the future. Will support the new visit leader on their first residential (May 2024 - Secondary School)

(February 2024)

This is a great teambuilding trip, however as the activities are quite physical this could be used for PE! (January 2024 - Primary School)

Generally we had a very good stay and experience at Walesby Forest. One or two areas need reviewing to improve the experience. Staff forgot to greet us and give us our health and safety briefing on arrival. The accommodation was basic and OK but smelt a bit musty on arrival. During one of the water activities we felt that there should have been another member of Walesby staff in the water to make it safer. All feedback passed on to the venue and acknowledged. (October 2023 - Primary School)

(October 2023 - Primary School)

The activities were excellent, well led and stimulating. There was plenty of variety and challenge and the activity leaders were well trained, engaging and led extremely well. The children loved all the activities they participated in. The accommodation (Parker and Sherwood Lodges) were very basic and tired. They were clean on arrival but we had to ask the staff at the centre to come and clean the toilets as they were not automatically cleaned. As there were only 4 between 27 people, this should have been done more regularly. The quality of the meals was poor with very little fruit or vegetables. (September 2023 - Primary School)

(September 2021 - Primary School)

Great activities and leaders. Accomodation is basic but adequate. Children enjoyed this residential especially the water activities on the lake and the open-air swimming pool. (July 2021 - Primary School)

an absolutely stunning location which allowed our city children to safely 'roam' the countryside with a degree of freedom. lodges were great, including good cooking facilities. The option of self catering enabled us to bring this visit in at a cost accessible to our parents (and much less than other providers who insist on meal packages) (July 2021 - Primary School)

(July 2021 - Primary School)

(November 2019 - Secondary School)

Although the accommodation was tired, all the staff were amazing. They made our adventure enjoyable and unforgettable. While we were there a child fell over and injured themselves. The response was quick, child friendly and professional. We will be back!! (October 2019 - Primary School)

(October 2019 - Primary School)

A good residential, met the children's needs. Be aware of flies and biting insects in the summer. (September 2019 - Primary School)

An brilliant 2 night residential - with a rich variety of activities on offer. (November 2018 - Primary School)

brilliant place. we just keep going back (September 2018 - Primary School)

(August 2018 - Secondary School)

Great way of welcoming students into year 7 and for tutors to get to know their tutees. Some facilities (showering etc.) are very basic, and would be good if more privacy could be offered to staff in each lodge (e.g. seperate bathroom/shower) (July 2018 - Secondary School)

brilliant place, so much to do. (June 2018 - Primary School)

well maintained camping field and facilities (April 2018 - Secondary School)
