Good, engaging speakers. Venue was a bit chilly and despite a less than half-full auditorium, no-one from our school was picked as a volunteer despite one boy from another school being picked for more than one activity! Share this out more fairly in the future, please! The exam session was disappointingly short and was more vague and generic than I would have expected - more on how to answer stuff (like command words, 6 markers) in the future, please!
Consider the pricing of tickets too now there is an online option - paying double to sit in a venue and not be any more involved than if we were watching on a screen was disappointing...! (November 2021 - Secondary School)

Beneficial to students, particularly the group of year 10 students. Speakers were inspiring and gave exam revision tips. (December 2019 - Secondary School)
1. Just about worthwhile – the quality of the speakers was lower than we had expected it would be so the girls didn’t get as much benefit as we had hope they would.
2. The logistics of the trip all worked perfectly – the problem was just the quality of the lecture series. I’d look at a different organisation if I was doing a similar trip again.

The speakers were very interesting but the level of noise in the audience was rather disappointing. It was sad that people were not pulled up for talking and silence was not expected. It made it hard for us to enforce such expectations on our students. I felt that some of speakers and the MC for the day inadvertently encouraged this by asking the audience questions, which tends to lead to a loss of focus in such a large group. A very useful trip. The talks were engaging and the speakers were well chosen. The level of the delivered material was ideal for this age group and the topics covered were relevant, but did not repeat material already covered in class. There was some disruption from students from other schools during one of the talks which might have been predicted straight after lunch and was not dealt with all that well. The venue was ion a good loaction, and a good choice of speakers covered a range of topics. Slightly disappointing there were a couple of minor computer related problems such as non playing videos, and one topic seemed more focused on career development than about what is exciting about Computer Science, but overall a very sucessful day, all students were happy to have attended, we will be going again.
