Since its founding in 1992, Brenscombe Outdoor Centre has been dedicated to providing engaging, safe, and educational outdoor experiences. Thousands of children and young people have visited us, with many schools returning year after year for our exceptional residential programmes. With 160 beds on-site, no one is left behind!

Situated in the stunning Purbecks, Brenscombe Outdoor Centre offers access to a wide range of natural landscapes, including our own woodland and field. We also make use of the Purbeck Heath National Nature Reserve, Poole Harbour, and the Jurassic Coast. Our watersports activities are hosted at Cleavel Point, which provides unique private access to Poole Harbour.

Yes. We are fully insured to run all of our activities and have £10 million public liability cover.
Activities will still go ahead however we will carefully select the venue and pick the safest and most appropriate activity for the conditions on the day.
All activity staff are experienced, undergo thorough training and are first aid qualified. Where appropriate they have national governing body award qualifications for the activities which they deliver. All staff at Brenscombe are DBS checked and undergo additional safeguarding training. We have a strong team of permanent staff, who are supported by experienced seasonal staff, many of whom return for multiple years.

Great venue with excellent run activities.

Brilliant venue for a residential visit. It provided a brilliant experience for our Year 4 children. Great for building resilience and promoting teamwork.
