Excellent activities, staffing, food, accommodation, organisation

It was a lovely two days. The children really enjoyed being in the forest area and the leaders were great at adapting to our needs. The leaders were very hands on with the children. This time, we stayed in the pods. I think that these would be better suited for older children (UKS2 and beyond) as when they needed the toilet at night they had to get dressed, reorientate themselves, and walk through the rain. They coped, but it meant that Mrs Thomas got very little sleep. We also found it hard to support and monitor the children getting up from our pod (they were very well insulated though!). Given age of the children, I would recommend booking the residential centre next time.

The children need to communicate. They are aware of where they had travelled to and the facts that it is a 'living' place with wild creatures etc. The children also discussed a lot of values from within the citizenship and PSHE curriculum.

Brilliant range of activities, knowledgeable instructors, equipment was all in good order, site was tidy and easy to navigate through.
