This is the ideal trip for children devloping the following Early Learning Goals: - Explore the natural world around them, making observations and drawing pictures of animals and plants. - Know some similarities and differences between the natural world around them and contrasting environments, drawing on their experiences and what has been read in class. - Understand some important processes and changes in the natural world around them, including the seasons and changing states of matter.

As part of the Early Years curriculum this venue supports the learning in Understanding the World area of learning.

It was an enriching environment and the children loved visiting the farm. The farmer was knowledgeable and could answer all the inquisitive questions the children had. We found it beneficial to have an activity sheet provided from school to guide the children's exploration of the farm after the tour, milking show, milking the lambs, lunch and the tractor ride.
