County Durham Woodland Education Service

CDWES is an exciting service for Teachers, pupils, youth groups, uniformed services and individuals. We can guarantee you exclusive use of our privately owned woodland which is situated just 6 miles from the centre of Durham. We work with children and young people of all abilities helping them to achieve their own individual targets whilst providing learning which motivates, challenges and stimulates. We find this promotes team building and bonding, and helps social development. Organizing outside the classroom activities such as woodland visits can prove difficult for most schools. Our unique woodland activities make such activities much more accessible and affordable.
