Science Museum

A vast array of activities to do for all ages and most area of study. The length and areas viewed would be diferent depending on age and subject being viewed. In most areas of the museum, there are interactive devices students can explore.

The trip was to support our “technicians” STEM Club. The students found the trip really interesting. They all found something that sparked their curiosity:- from moon rock to medical instruments, cars to careers and more.

Students enjoyed the experience especially the IMAX 3D cinema

Great day - children really enjoyed the show and Wonderlab. They loved linking their space history learning and the exhibits.

Needed more time as so much to see but the children loved what they saw

Very interesting session and the teacher had lots of enthusiasm.

The museum has a science focus but there is much to learn that has cross-curricular application.

We saw a really good film on Antarctica in the IMAX but didn't look at the rest of the museum this time.

The girls loved the trip and everything went smoothly. For next year..ensure the garden is booked, try and book the workshop for the morning rather than last thing of the day- this will mean we can leave whenever we are ready rather than waiting for this (it overran slightly). Lockers are in an awkward place- parents went and got lunch bags which worked well. At the end of the day, it was really busy trying to get the coats out and sort them. Might have been easier to have collected all high vis jackets before giving out the coats and then re-giving out the high vis. This is because the girls were trying to take too many things on and off all in one place. As adult spaces are free for this trip, book for more parents- doesn't hurt having more support on the train and 1A had two parents turn up last minute as they were nervous about travel on the District Line Overall, the girls loved the trip and it complimented our topic perfectly.

Lots of excellent free exhibits and paid exhibitions are of a reasonable price.
