This trip is good for social studies/religion/cultural studies

Worth the trip, but some of the instruction was a little too high level, and the café and gift shop were closed at just the time the pupils were free to go in them.

Very interesting place to visit but our guide spoke in great detail about Buddhist philosophy rather than showing us all the interesting things at the monastery which was a bit frustrating.

Very enjoyable and informative visit. The children were fascinated. However part of the monastery was closed for refurbishment which was a highlight of a previous visit.
