Natural History Museum

Secure learning rooms, well organised sessions, competent staff and great resources.

The staff were very helpful and well organised. We had booked to see the ocean show, which was very good. Booked a space to have lunch, but we didn't realise we had a space to leave bags and coats until too late- it would have been helpful if they had let us know this. We didn't have much time to look around, but it was an amazing place to visit.

Booked on the evolution workshop. Workshop was quite quick and I'm not sure we would book the workshop again. Just felt a bit rushed and I am not sure that my pupils got the most out of it. One of the areas we needed after the workshop to complete a task given in the workshop was closed. Slightly disappointed that I have been to the museum twice this year and both times the escalator through the earth has been closed. The T-Rex was closed this time as well. Maybe I'm getting older but used to be my favourite museum for a trip but I'm not sure it is anymore.

It was great and the pupil really enjoyed the exhibits, especially the dinosaurs , we also explored the Earth exhibit which links into Geography.

High quality educational workshops delivered in state of arts facilities by knowledgeable facilitators who engage well with students. Above all, the workshops are a lot of fun.

Venue had something there suitable for most themes, including Architecture, Aquatic, Natural Forms. Was really busy so decided to stay for 1 Hour, but students really enjoyed.

As above, more time needed as so much to see and children were amazed

Lots of information and a great hook to introduce our topic to. It helped bring the lessons to live for our pupils. They all loved it and learnt so much.

Students from Y7 and Y12 joined Y4-6 students from Oasis. The workshop was adapted to meet the needs of the KS2 students. Our students were there to support and act as mentors.
