The Outward Bound Trust was founded in 1941 and aims to inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors. It partners with schools, colleges, employers and youth groups to help young people believe in themselves. Outward Bound has helped 1.2million young people and more than 80 per cent of those have received financial support to attend courses.

Our Y5s visit OB to see 'nature in the raw' as we are a city-bound school. Our children get a chance to roam in the outdoors, understand risks and learn to prepare properly, assess risk, take personal responsibility, be resilient and the importance of teamwork and leadership.
