Learning Through Adventure

Orkney Outdoor Education is managed and offered to local schools within the Orkney Islands. Its aim is to provide Outdoor Learning & Education to a wide range of school age pupils on a daily and residential basis. The season generally is staffed from April to October each year. The residential provision is based from the Hoy Centre, Birsay Centre and offers activities within school grounds during school term times. Additional outdoor activity programmes (residential and non-residential) for the general public, local clubs, community and charitable groups can also be catered for by prior booking, where staff are available.
