Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity. Our courses are substantially sheltered from rain and wind by the trees themselves so as long as you’re appropriately dressed for the weather you should still have great memories of your experience. The course remains open in all weathers, except thick ice, thunderstorms and gales. Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which can add to the fun, but you might want dry clothes to change into for the journey home.
If we have to close for unsafe weather conditions, we will offer you a refund, credit note or reschedule your booking. If unsafe weather is forecasted we will aim to make the decision as early as possible, and will do our best to contact you to try and save you a wasted journey.
At Go Ape, we welcome everyone. However, whilst our courses are designed to be accessible to most people, they do offer a degree of physical and mental challenge.
For some, this may mean that additional equipment, adjustments to our training, and/or levels of supervision will be required for safe participation. For others, the risks of injury may still be too great despite taking such additional measures, preventing their use of the course.
Please read the additional information available on our accessibility page and call our booking team to discuss requirements before booking your adventure so we can ensure you will be safe and have the best experience possible. It may be useful to book a quieter time of the day to ensure you are not put under unnecessary pressure by other participants on the day. We can help with all this.

This activity provides an excellent opportunity for the teachers to learn more about the children outside of the classroom. It also fosters integration of all the children into Year 3 at Cranmore, especially those new to the school and encourages relationships between the parallel classes. Furthermore, the children challenge themselves and all manage to complete the activity even though some might have been anxious beforehand. The Go Ape staff are knowledgeable, attentive and supportive whilst the children are on the high ropes course. First class all round.

Really well organised, fantastic team who supported the children on the day. Children loved it and most pushed themselves out of their comfort zones.

this was an excellent challenge and adventure for my class. The instructors at Alice Holt were excellent and we had the benefit of sole use of the site.
