Cumulus Outdoors run exciting and fun filled residential adventure trips on the Jurassic Coast for schools and youth groups, at our exclusive tented village locations with 24/7 pastoral care, and at our purpose-built Swanage based residential centre with up to 133 bed spaces. An extensive range of outdoor adventure activities can include coasteering, kayaking, mackerel fishing, climbing & abseiling, high ropes, tunnelling, raft racing plus many more. These activities are designed to improve self-esteem, confidence and support learning outside the classroom and can be incorporated into your activity programme to meet the objectives of your visit.
Our team of experienced and highly qualified staff also run adventure activity day trips for school groups as a reward experience and our ‘Challenge by Choice’ ethos means that students only ever attempt something they are comfortable with.
We also deliver field study educational visits for KS2 students and can facilitate KS3 field study visits with a third party provider.
Cumulus also delivers Duke of Edinburgh Walking Expeditions & Gold Residential programmes, plus the Council funded HAF programme.

We operate a challenge by choice ethos, which allows participants to choose the level of activity they are comfortable with.
We adapt our activities for all participants. We can also cater for all dietary and religious requirements.
We rotate activities to best suit the weather. If the wind or swell is too strong for water sports, these will be switched for something land-based, such as rock climbing. We will always do our best to deliver the activities as per the agreed programme.
There is time spent in Swanage midway through the week, so some pocket money for souvenirs would be welcomed.

The trip was a great mixture of physical activities and learning about the historical importance of the area during preparations for the D-Day landings.
