YR8 enjoyed the workshops based on solving the crime of the stolen rare plant. They also spent time using ipad technology to learn about species in the glass houses which gave them time to explore and learn more about where the plants come from. Overall a well planned enjoyable workshop.

A fantastic day trip for students - we focused on looking at plant adaptations to their specific biomes, as well as their value and uses.

The Kew Field Studies teacher was very competent and enthusiastic. They satisfied the core practical requirements very well and the students were able to obtain a good set of data for their practical write up. We enjoyed the visit, despite the less than satisfactory weather conditions - again this was managed really well by the teacher leading the session. I would like to thank Kew Gardens Education team for a job well done!

The route around Kew can be as long or as short as desired. Lots of amenities whilst on the walking routes. Mostly accesiable for all but some steps in places, but alternative routes next to. Benefits of going in good weather is sitting on the many grassed areas to eat lunch. Greeted at gate by staff and given a teacher pack. Not many areas to sit, so consider for disabled or impaired students. Art gallery only allowed 12 at a time which meant we lost a little time rotating smaller groups.
