Kirkleatham Museum

Kirkleatham Museum is the local heritage museum for the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland. It is home to a treasure trove of artefacts and exhibitions, all housed in a magnificent 1709 Queen Anne building that began life as a Free School for boys. The museum features a wide range of exhibitions and displays covering local industrial, maritime and social history. Kirkleatham Museum also plays host to an annual programme of exciting contemporary exhibitions, family events, musical performances and seasonal activities. Visitors may also enjoy the beautiful grounds found around the museum, with so much to explore, excitement and adventure for children of all ages. Within the museum grounds a small woodland trail has been created and benefits from hard surfaced pathways, suitable for all visitors to enjoy all year round, including those with access difficulties.

Very simple dinosaur hunt in gardens and woods. Children enjoyed it but it didn't last very long and didn't hold their interest, so what was supposed to last 45mins only took about 20mins.
