great activities, well led by the centre staff. Great opportunities for awe and wonder. Independence and resilience in abundance.

When we arrived there were insufficient staff to cope with our party. There were two members of staff only. YHA had to draft in staff from other local hostels, I believe the centre manager is currently off work due to illness. Once there was a full compliment of staff by Wednesday things improved. There seemed to be a shortage of meals to begin with and it was hard work having to keep having to request extra sandwiches as orders were often wrong. The activities provided by YHA Langdale were not delivered with any energy or enthusiasm. The venue was stunning and the accommodation was fine in terms of the rooms and cleanliness. To be fair the staff they were working under pressure due to staff shortages but it was hard work having to keep requesting that our needs could be met.

A great venue and stunning location. Great value for money for a 4 day residential.
