Discover the changing face of Peterborough as you explore millions of years of the city's history, from the Jurassic seas and Romans to the Victorians. Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery offers a wide and varied programme to support pupils’ learning of all ages.

Our programme has the museum collection at its heart and offers immersive experiences which cannot be replicated in the classroom. We offer an outreach programme for those unable to visit, and a CPD programme for teachers to support the teaching of local history.

The permanent exhibits are very good for science (biology in particular) as well as history and local geography. The displays are exceptionally explained and contain rare artefacts. The temporary exhibit (Adventures in Time & Space) was also good for D&T/Art/English due to the media-centric and design-centric focus of the exhibit.
