Residential trip report Date of trip 10-14 June Year group(s) 7-9 Class(es) NA Location visited Germany (Rhineland Palatinate) Staff members who attended Nicola Squires (Comar), Adam Pittman, Imogen Kemp (Hancock) Summary of the trip 5 day trip to Germany, staying in Boppard and visiting Cologne, Phantasialand and Mayen. Details of any accidents or incidents During our visit to Phantasialand we took one student to first aid in Phantasialand to be checked after she had sat on a deckchair (low to ground) and it collapsed on her. She was ok, but applied an icepack to neck which was a bit sore. Also, a student lost her mobile phone in Phantasialand. She could not remember where or whether she had had it in a pocket while on roller coaster. It was reported to lost property and contact details provided, parents were contacted and student was allowed to use school phone to contact parents on remaining day. Should the trip take place again? Yes Lessons learned/actions to be implemented for next trip Bowling place in Cologne was a bit far from cathedral, a closer venue would be better or transportation by coach. Tell students to place mobile phones inside main part of backpack (instead of general reminder to be careful with possessions).
