We are open for adventure 7 days a week, all year round! Our enquiries team are available 7 days a week, from 9am until 5pm.
Our activity packages provide schools with a hassle free way too plan unforgettable experiences. Our overnight packages include a thrilling activity programme, cosy accommodation and delicious catering - all at a competitive per-person rate with no hidden costs. Plus we offer free teacher places for every 12 pupils booked, included as standard in all our packages. Set in the heart of the Lake District, on the shores of Lake Windermere, Scout Adventures Great Tower is one of our most stunning locations. Discover, explore and be inspired by our 250 acres of woodland and rocky-crags perfect for hiking as well as being England’s largest National Park, home to Scafell Pike (its highest Mountain), Westwater (its deepest lake) and thriving communities like Keswick and Bowness. With a choice of four lodges, tented village and plenty of open camping space for young people to experience the freedom of the outdoors. For over 100 years, we've delivered safe, challenging and educational experiences to millions of young people. In line with Scout values, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life and creating better futures.
Our centre is not just a place to visit and stay; it’s a starting point for new adventures, challenges, expeditions and experiences. Choose from a wide range of adventurous onsite and offsite activities, from archery and high ropes to caving and Ghyll scrambling. Our activities are all about values-based teamwork, and can be tailored to your specific learning objectives.
We offer a truly unique multi-cultural experience to every school group that visits. Each year, over 120 volunteers from all around the world join our renowned international residential programme. In return they are trained to deliver activities and adventures alongside our professional staff teams that engage, challenge, inspire, and help create memories for young people!
Burst out of the classroom with our package options:
Outdoor Adventure package. An action-packed programme of 90-minute sessions with over 25 activities to choose from, ideal for challenging young people, building skills, teamwork and having fun.
Adventure 50/50 package. Offering half the number of activities allowing for a more flexible stay giving you the chance to fit in some teacher led sessions or field studies.
Day visit package. If you're short on time or looking to fill a gap in your curriculum, come and visit us for the day. We can cater for smaller classes, or entire year groups, and we have half-day and full-day package options available.
