The Year 1 trip went really well and the children had a brilliant day. They were excited from the moment we arrived and got stuck into all the Victorian‑themed activities. The role‑play classroom session was a big success — lots of surprised faces when they realised how strict Victorian school life was. It really helped them understand the topic in a way we couldn’t achieve just in class. They also loved the hands on household chores in the Victorian farmhouse too. The children behaved well throughout the day and followed instructions from both school staff and the venue adults. They moved around safely and showed good manners, which made the whole visit run smoothly. All pupils, including those with SEND, were able to take part fully, and the small adjustments we planned worked well. Everything ran to time, the coach was prompt, and the venue staff were organised and welcoming. There were no incidents or concerns. Overall, it was a really positive experience. The children came back with new knowledge and were able to talk confidently about the differences between Victorian schools and their own.

we all enjoyed the day - unfortunately manor farm were short staffed so our bug hunt and planting a seed activities were merged which meant each child didn't engage so well as it was just too many at one time. the staff were very enthusiastic and encouraging , the venue was improved fro lunch and where we could keave our bags.
